What happened in Bali
I downloaded a fan-made MV in
sweetinsung.net focusing on Jae-
min's heartbreak...the fan really
did well in selecting the song
that best describes Jae-min's
pain....really touched by this.
JUST WHEN I NEEDED YOU MOST
You packed in the morning I
Stared at the window and i
Struggled for something to say
You left in the rain without
Closing the door
I didnt stand in your way
Now i miss you more than I
missed you before and now
Where I'll find comfort God knows
Cuz you left me
just when i needed you most
now most ever morning I
stared at the window and I
think about where you might be
Ive written you letters that I
like to send
If you would just send one to me
Cuz i need you more than I
need you before and now
Where I'll find comfort God knows
Cuz you left me
just when i needed you most
You packed in the morning I
Stared at the window and i
Struggled for something to say
You left in the rain without
Closing the door
I didnt stand in your way
Cuz i love you more than I
loved you before and now
Where I'll find comfort God knows
Cuz you left me
just when i needed you most...
OPEN LETTER TO JAE-MIN
Was it really a long time ago since I last saw you smile? Nope, you were not smiling at me...but to this girl who meant the world to you...the girl you begged to love you back...the girl i wished was me instead...Did i think you were crazy? no, i didnt... just like you, i suffered in silent pain... an excruciating pain that seemed to be unbearable everyday. I thought you must be dumb. You were once this annoying, arrogant rich guy who doesnt care about anything.. And now, you've turned yourself into a total mush ball...i didnt see it coming...but i fell inlove with you from the start... way before i even saw the new "YOU". You did everything... you gave everything...you were so happy everytime you see her...i thought i must be happy for you...but at the end of the day, i see you all alone with your lonely heart...you've waited and waited....endured everything. At times, i close my eyes and i felt like the one embracing you or holding your hands...just to make you feel that someone truly cares for you... but i know i couldnt do more than watch you from afar... and that hurts me more.
That fateful day in Bali kept flashing in my mind. The sunset was so beautiful and serene... overlooking the paradise. And yet there you were...walking straight to the shore with your tired eyes and heavy heart...you had a pistol in your hand and you broke down sobbing...From where i am, all i could hear was the fast pounding of my heart...please dont do it....i silently pleaded. Tears are slowly welling up my eyes until i felt them rolling down my face. You cant do that...i insisted...Cant you look around you? Cant you find even a little hope in this beautiful place? You still have a life...please listen...But my pleas were put in vain as you raised the pistol & pulled the trigger...my heart skipped a beat and the sun disappeared from the horizon... i knew ...it was all over...for a while, i didnt feel anything except bitterness and anger...to soo-jung who made you miserable, your parents who didnt give you a chance to be happy, and you yourself for being weak.
Weeks passed and I still cant get over the heartbreak you gave me when you left...just like the pain you felt when she left you...One particular late afternoon, i was walking lazily outside, my mind a total blank...then i saw the sunset. I tried to turn away but i still ended up gazing to it. I fought hard the tears. and for the hundredth time...i failed. I was weak...too weak. I gave in and let my tears roll down until there's nothing left....i wanted it to run out...i wanted to be numb enough not to feel any more...i was too exhausted...I stayed there for a few minutes and looked up the dark sky...then i felt something unexplainable... something you were seeking all your life...something you got when you decided to end it all....freedom. Then i figured, you ended up your life because you dont have anymore reason to be happy...to live...she's gone. And now, you're gone too...I dont have to be selfish to myself anymore... I'll give myself a chance to find and search for my own reason or purpose.
Now, i feel the much more better days of my life. When i think of you and there are tears gain, i know it's not the same sad tears anymore...but rather happiness. I promised to myself I'll move on. Eventually, I will find the special person who is truly meant for me. I'll treasure the love throughout my life...your memory will always live within me...that's because you gave me a piece of you without you knowing it. im confident that i will look at the sunset with contentment and peace in my heart. I'll just look up and i know you're somewhere out there hiding behind the clouds... and this time, you are smiling...telling me i can do better, go places, and grow old happy...
I thank God for this life he gave me and i thank you for inspiring me...i know you have that peace up there and ill remember you the way you want to be remembered...flashing that same sweet smile which made me fall for you...Bye for now and I'll miss you...

THE CLASSIC (2003)
CAST:
Son ye-jin (Ji-hae / Joo-hee)
Jo seong-woo (Joon-ha)
Jo in-sung (sang-min)
Lee ki-woo (tae-soo)
GENRE: melodrama
This has got to be my favourite of all the korean movies ive watched so far. First of all, I got a hard time finding a copy and when I finally did, i watched it immediately...with high hopes that Kwak Jae-young's follow-up movie after My sassy girl would just be as superb...and what can I say? he didn't fail me...and that was supposed to be an understatement! I just freakin LOVE this movie! Well, just a few notches ahead of sassy girl. Maybe others would say that this is just another sappy movie but for met's just.... beautiful....from the cinematography, soundtrack, down to the cast....you will see a bittersweet lovestory that will reminisce the past and will reveal a surprise twist in the end. I also discovered my fave korean oppa in this movie......*swoon* hihihi...Jo in-sung really caught my eye in this film because of that rain scene....it was like a very sweet thing a guy could do... *sigh* His acting here isnt well-polished compared to what happened in Bali.ve read a lot of reviews critisizng his stiff or "wooden" acting job in the Classic. But hey, seeing now his character "jae-min" i could say he really improved a lot and he even got a best actor award in Baeksang 2004 for the Bali drama.
MOMENTS OF THE MOVIE:
* ART GALLERY SCENE *
This part is amazingly done! Actually, this scene is simple and just lasted for a few seconds but its...oh geez, how do you say nkk-kilig in english? Ji-hae and sang-min (with soo-gyung, this other girl who likes him, clinging on his arm) walks parallel to each other (magkabilaan) so it looks like they were passing between the paintings and they (sang-min and ji-hae) were stealing glances at each other. i hope you got the picture cuz i really suck in storytelling! hehehe...theyre playing this very cool sort-of alternative song in this scene. read somewhere that it was sung by go-baek...too bad it wasnt included in the ost.
*FOLK DANCE SCENE *
One of the few funny parts of the film! Na-hee(Joo hee's friend) was a mess here when she was racing with this other girl on a seat. Tae-soo replaced the folk song CD to a chuck berry sounding one and all the students ended up dancing...they were really funny! i found ji-hae's dancing
really odd though...hihihi
  -------->my fave scene!!
MY SASSY GIRL (2001)
Cast:
Jeon Ji-hyun (the girl)
Cha Tae hyun (gyeon-woo)
genre: Romantic comedy
My Sassy Girl was the follow-up movie of veteran director Kwak Jae-young after a 10-year absence. A modern day comedy romance, the movie was a huge hit not only in korea but all throughout Asia. There are talks that Dreamworks had acquired a deal to remake the film. My Sassy Girl's breakthrough in korea in 2001 started the new wave/generation of the Korean industry, korea being dubbed today as the new Hongkong with movies such as IL Mare which is now being remade in the US starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. Lead stars Jeon ji-hyun and Cha tae-hyun's careers skyrocketed just as the sametime the movie achieved its box office success. Canon in D of pachelbel was also used (once more in the Classic...must be a favourite).. I also love the song "I Believe" by Shin seung-hun which was used during the "tree on top of the mountain scene". This movie has its moments specially on the second half and the overtime..a lovestory well and beautifully made and proves that fate really has its mischievous ways to surprise you..
10 COMMANDMENTS:
1. Dont ask her to be feminine
2. Dont let her drink over three glasses.
3. Drink coffee instead of coke.
4. If she hits you, act like it hurts, if it hurts, act like it doesn't.
5. On your 100th day, give her a rose during her class.
6. Learn fencing and squash
7. Be prepared to go to prison sometimes
8. If she says she'll kill you, don't take it lightly.
9. If her feet hurt, exchange shoes with her.
10. She likes to write, encourage her.

WINDSTRUCK (2004)
CAST:
Jeon Ji-hyun (
Jang Hyuk
Genre: Romance drama
Jeon Ji-hyun and Jang-Hyuk starrs in Kwak jae-young 2004 flick "WINDSTRUCK". It narrates the story of a High School physics teacher' s encounter with a hard-to-beat lady police officer..They met during a mishap until something happened that made them inseparable (well, literally speaking). They got to know each other well and things seemed to go pretty well when fate took its action...something that changed their lives forever. Some people think its the prequel for the previous blockbuster My Sassy Girl because there are certain parts of the film that seemed to answer a plothole in MSG. Not to mention the cameo appearance of Cha tae-hyun in the last scene that took place in a subway.
OST: The opening song "Knockin on Heaven's Door" (i dunno which version this is but certainly not Avril's or Guns n roses) best describes the theme of the movie. It was also played in the latter parts of the film. I really love the song "Stay" of The Temptations. It was played during the scene where Hyuk (on a jeep) was circling around Ji-hyun and when they were dancing in the rain...really cute!

HE WAS COOL (2004)
CAST:
Song seung-hun (Ji eun-sung)
Jung Da-bin (Han ye-won)
Lee Ki-woo (Kim Han-sung)
Genre: romance comedy
If you want to have a dose of comedy, action, romance and a bit of drama in an over-all lighthearted film, then this is a must see! It's a feel good movie between a plain highschool girl and an obnoxious college guy who is popularly known to ba a bully. I felt that the ending was a bit too soon though and I was like...that's it?? I really enjoyed the movie that i cant get enough of eun-sung and ye-won..I kept laughing on the scene where Ye-won's head was stuck in the spring-like barricade in eun sung's school...all the students saw her including eun-sung because they were about to clean the school ground as a morning exercise...hahaha! what a shame....and her zebra outfit was really funny!!! LOLZ.... Oh i almost forgot the infamous noodle song!! Ye won was soo cute while singing that noodle song in the videoke bar...lol
I really hope there would be a sequel because i like them both! they're so hilarious! And eun sung's boys are also a riot!! hahaha...Song seung-hun was really a surprise in this film i must say...I didnt really see much of him in his previous drama "AUTUMN IN MY HEART" but I always see him crying there whenever i take a peek. In hewascool, he laughs, smirks, acts rude and arrogant, and he cries here also ...and Im so impressed in his fight scenes...i find him so versatile...plus his hairstyle here is soo damn cool and suits him well! This movie made me include him on my list of korean oppas! When I watched this movie with my bro., he asked why ye-won is ugly and he was laughin because he was wonderin how could han-sung and eun-sung like her...I was like...whaat??? Okay, so Jung Da-bin is not as pretty as Song Hye-kyo... but i find her cute, funny and really charming! liked her a lot since Nonstop! oh i suddenly felt sad cuz i miss this sitcom in arirang...Da bin and Choi min-yong are like cats and dogs...they're always quarreling even about the smallest things! hahaha...i can stil recall min-yong calls her stupid (because most of the time, she doesnt make sense...hehehe) and da-bin calls him a miser because he doesnt like spending...wish they bring this sitcom back cuz there's still Nonstop4...aahhh... why am i talking about nonstop? =) anyway, thumbs up for this movie...and pls...let heaven hear my plea...sequel, sequel, sequel... *wishful thinking*
It's SNOWTIME!!
