            this is the story of Nam Jung-eun, a plain looking young adult who struffles to survive in the city after her parents had gone to the province. All alone in the rooftop apartment, she decided to start a brand new life and cherish her independence. Even though she just finished high school and wasnt able to pursue a college degree, she was determined to reach her goals. On the other hand, Lee kyung-min is a law student who doesnt take things seriously and is very lazy. He is orphaned so he was brought up by his grandma who spoils him and his grandfather whom he cannot communicate with. He constantly gets into trouble,  a reason why his grandfather doesnt trust him at all. they often argue due to Kyung-min's irresponsible nature. He's also inlove with Hye-run, her classmate in law school who just got back from the US. Upon a twist of fate, he learned that hye-run and Jung-eun are friends so he decided to befriend the latter. even offering to pay Jung-eun's rental fee to amuse Hye-run. When loan sharks went after him, he looked for a place to hide. with no other choice and since he lent her money, Kyung-min moved to Jung-eun's apartment in the rooftop.

            There started the love-hate relationship between the two leads. Jung-eun starts each day delivering the newspaper and she also peels garlic to have money. she cooks for both of them and attends to their needs while Kyung-min studies for the bar exam. Though Kyung-min was troublesome, she developed a liking for him. together, they went through the obstacles of two people living under the same roof. they fight constantly. This is the hilarious part. They'd fight and Jung-eun will drive Kyung-min off the apartment. He'd pack his things and leave. Not long afterwards, he's pack his suitcase and go back to the attic. Jung-eun would find Kyung-min in her doorstep with some peace offering and a big smile.

            They kept living together a secret from their families. Another character is Dong-jun, company director of PLUS AD, an advertising firm where Jung-eun works. Their close working relationship made Dong-jun fond of Jung-eun and later confessed his love for her though he knows the one Jung-eun loves is her troublesome cat in the rooftop. With Dong-jun wooing jung-eun, Kyung-min realizes that his feelings for her is more than platonic and did his best to win her heart once more. Being with Jung-eun, he knows his life isnt a mess like before. And When their secret was discovered by jung-eun's family, more trouble and heartache grew between them.

MY FAVE SCENES:

1. their first meeting (the drooling and tug of war part)                                              

2. when they have their pics taken and they were doing all these poses, when jung-eun suddenly kissed kyung-min. kyung min was surprised. heheh!

3. when jung-eun was asked for an overtime by dong-jun, kyung-min went to their office late at night. while eavesdropping and heard that dong-jun was about to go out, he abruptly opened the door, just in time to hit dong-jun who was going out. jyumg-min pretended to be really sorry. (haha funny)

4. when kyung-min made a ring out of a foil paper and placed it on jung-eun's finger. He said that if he pass the exam, he would give her a real gold ring. jung-eun eun was speechless but you could tell she was happy. (im so moved by this scene)

5. When jung-eun was about to go to the province for her father's birthday. dong-jun gave an expensive gift for his father. when jung-eun was about to leave, kyung-min appeared with a wine. it turned out, he stole it form his grandfather. heheh

6. when jung-eun tried to seduce kyung-min with her sexy nightie

7. when jung-eun's mom and kyung-min's grandma were fighting over a watermelon (they didnt know each other then). the watermelon dopped and was split open.

8. when grandpa went to the attic. he was chasing kyung-min then he pretended to have a heart attack just to catch him.

9. when kyung-min wore the shirt jung-eun bought for him. he wore it to please her though he didnt like it. He replaced it when she wasnt looking anymore.

10. when kyung-min was singing happy birthday to jung-eun. ang kengkoy nya! heheh.

11. when kyung-min pretended to be sick just to annoy jung-eun and dong-jun.

                  Its official. im now seeing rae-won in a different light. blinding. heheh! what i love about him is that he can definitely make you laugh, cry and swoon.. he's really good in romantic comedies just like in my love pattzi and my little bride! He's acted like a jerk in attic cat but just cant help but still love him. he's like a naive young guy who has tantrums and doesnt think about things that much.  There were a couple of times that he's really sweet to jung-eun but unfortunately, he forgets about everything and turns into a puppy everytime he sees hye-run. Jung-eun cried buckets of tears because of him. Ive seen rae-won's recent drama, which star are you from, in a chinese channel. it has no subs so really cant follow the story. besides, im having second thoughts of watching love story in harvard and which star are you from because they are heavy dramas. i dunno. i love to see rae-won laughing and smiling. He's cute and charming that way. well, i know rae-won has to shift to mature roles. He's really shuai in which star.....they straightened his hair and turned it into black. he now looks like the other korean actors. He's so serious in that drama and i just dont feel good about it. i want to keep rae-won as he is before.Anyways, i wonder if rae-won oppa is already enlisted with the army. he's now 25 and he's been acting for some years already. anyways, il post his profile sometime soon. and...i just wish he doesnt have a gf. seriously. hahah..

                    If you've seen jung-dabin as an all glammed-up fashionista in nonstop 3, she's the exact opposite in attic cat. she's not an eye-candy here but its ok cuz it suits her role and makes it more realistic. I love da-bin cuz she's really good, from nonstop and he was cool. through her you could feel the pain of a one-sided love. nalungkot tlga me nung naging cold na sya kay kyung-min kc nman wlang paninindigan ung guy eh. hay naku 2loy. nung natauhan na sya huli na ang lahat. kahit mahal prin sya ni jung-eun d na pwde. you'll realize a person's worth pg wala na sya.naiiyak aku everytime lalapitan nya c jung-eun tpos maiiwan dn sya mg-1. naalala ko ung scene when he knelt in front of jung-eun pra accept sya ulit. saka ung ngpropose sya tpos tnurn-down din sya ni jung-eun. kc nman lagi sya ngjojoke. d daw sya nkapasa sa bar exam eh he passed nman tlga. saka ung nkipag-meet sya kay jung-eun in a restaurant. he asked her kung pwde d na sya 2muloy. he promised a lot of things, like he'l change na and he'l protect her. jung-eun said sorry and walked away. and ung airport scene.cuz malpit na flight ni jung-eun so he tried to look for her. i was really sad nung nkta nya umalis na ung plane. cant blame jung-eun kc her dad is hurting and kelangan dn nya icpin ung family nya. before lagi nya dinedefend c kyung-min to the point that she received offensive words and she's also beaten up. its a good decision na tumuloy sya sa England cuz its better for both of them. she will fulfill her dreams and Kyung-min could change narin. so when they'd meet again, they could have a brand new start..

                  i must admit, mejo im not satisfied with the ending. i believe in the art of subtlety bt....i dunno. the director could have made it a bit more romantic and memorable. actually its not that bad nman eh. it's a light drama so enough nrin, cute nman. i dont expect na intimate ung ending cuz it's a romantic comedy. until d end, patawa prin c kyung-min. heheh. im used with these kind of endings in korean dramas. kung nde nadead, bitin nman. i remembered the ending of spring day. it was so simple. mgkita c insung and hyunjung sa island. They were smiling at each other. and when they were walking towards each other na, zoom out ung cam. and when they were about to embrace, ending credits na. i was satisfied with d ending of spring day cuz my closure na and you'd get the idea na they ended up together. To sum it all up, attic cat is a great serial with a fair share of laughter and tears. Jung da-bin and kim rae-won are great together and you'll surely love their bittersweet relationship.
